One of the oldest books in the Bible – Ecclesiastes – has this to say. “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.”

Friends are also true and honest to each other as can be seen in Proverbs 24:26. “An honest answer is the sign of true friendship.”

Proverbs 27:19 also shows us that a person’s character can be seen from the kinds of friends he keeps. “A mirror reflects a man’s face, but what he is really like is shown by the kind of friends he chooses.”

As can be read in Proverbs 17:17, a friend is a friend is a friend forever. “A friend loveth at all times.”

-Proverbs 27:17 tells us that friends are the key to making friends happy. “Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance.”

The following verse may surprise you. According to Proverbs 18:24, not all friendships are destined to survive, yet friends are still more loyal than brothers. “Some friendships do not last, but some friends are more loyal than brothers.”

As you have probably already learned, a real friend will be there for you in both good times and bad. “Friends always show their love. What are brothers for if not to share troubles?”- Proverbs 17:17

You shouldn’t get angry if a friend hurts you, because even in hurt a true friend means well. “A friend means well, even when he hurts you. But when an enemy puts his hand round your shoulder - watch out!” - Proverbs 27:6

And finally, John 15:13 reminds us of the greatesttest of friendship. “The greatest love a person can have for his friends is to give his life for them.”

Millions of people the world over are eager to hear a good Bible sermon. The church member wanting to heighten their spiritual awareness, the Sunday School preacher looking to improve their teaching, or the preacher wanting to glean from other preachers are

The ocean is full of fish, but that doesn’t mean you catch what you want every time you go fishing.

Are there secrets to having your prayers answered? For the child of God that has a working knowledge of the Word of God and an understanding of the keys he has given us, no. There is no secret to answered prayer, but there are prayer keys.

Unfortunately, to many, prayer is something turned to only in time of crisis, desperateness, or as a last resort. And then we come before God with a bunch of heartfelt emotion or with desperation, but usually nothing else. All that sniffling and crying and begging, well I’m sorry, it does not move the heart of God. Oh He is touched by what you are going through, and He loves you and the Word says ‘He contends with that which contends with you…” (Isaiah 49:25), but that does not translate to answered prayer. God is listening for faith.

God in His great love and desire for us has revealed prayer keys to us that will get answers every time. How can that be??? Where do you find these keys? Where else? IN HIS WORD! In today’s world however, we often times cannot seem to fit in the time, to spend time in His Word. If we are to receive answers to our prayer, that must change.

God does not require that you spend hours with Him, though as your relationship grows with Him, you will find you want to spend more and more time with Him. You do need however, to make God a priority in your life. For me, that means first thing in the morning, before the hustle and bustle of the events of the day begin. Set your alarm clock and get up a few minutes early. (Certainly you can give God fifteen minutes before you start the day! If not, start with 5 minutes and work your way up!) Make you coffee or tea and sit down and spend some alone time with your heavenly Father.

Read His Word and pray. Begin to look up some of the scriptures pertaining to prayer and you’ll find the keys how to receive an answer every time. Here are some scriptures that contain prayer secrets:

While great sermons and speeches can occur extemporaneously, most of the time quiet a bit of deliberate thought and study is placed into it. I spend time very regularly building free sermons online. The focus of this article is what does s good solid sermon or speech structure look like. Of course, there is no one set form for all people and all sermons and speeches. I will share one that I believe is simple but very solid with you.

1. The Title
The title of the speech is very crucial. It is the speaker’s opportunity to prepare the audience and at times even excite them. The title can be used to build an immediate sense of anticipation. It answers the question, What is this about? An example of a title, “The High Cost of Adultery”

For a preacher, the decision is made where to announce the biblical text. It can be at any time but is usually before or after the title. For a speech outside the realm of the church, a text is not needed.

2. The Introduction
The introduction is the speakers opportunity to build a bridge from where the mind of the audience is to where the speaker wants to take them. A quote, story, illustration or startling statement can all be effectively used to build the bridge. A simple question can be used as well. For example, What does it cost a man to commit adultery? Hmmm, that one will cause ears to perk up.

3. The Transition
Keep transition in mind throughout the speech or sermon. This makes the ride less bumpy for the listener. The transition is mostly a well crafted sentence that moves the listener from what you have just presented to what you are about to presented. For example, “The cost of adultery is high, I want to share with you five things it will cost you. First it will cost you…”

4. The Main Points
The main points are the big bones of the speech or sermon. They are the core statements you want to make. They are those points that will be on everyone’s notes. Make sure the audience knows what they are. To continue with our example, “First, Adultery will cost you the trust you have built with others.” You should have at least two main points but don’t have so many the audience loses focus. 5. The Sub Points
Sub-points are simple points you place beneath a main point. An example, “You lose trust with others. First of which is your spouse….” and so forth.

6. The Conclusion
Beyond the obvious meaning of bringing things to a close, the conclusion is the place to succinctly summarize what you have shared. This restatement is helpful to insure that you pull all the threads together tightly.

7. The Call to Action
This last component is so important. It is necessary to do this in order to move the audience from just receiving mental information to experiencing true life change. Since they have heard what you have shared, what do you want them to do? Tell them! This is the call to action.

Following this easy exercise you will know how to hypnotize people, and remove the mystifying shroud surrounding hypnosis. Forget what you have seen in the movies or from a stage hypnotist at the county fair, this is hypnosis at its most basic level.

First find a guinea pig and have them be comfortably seated with both feet on the ground.

Start with a three very slow deep breaths. Have them close their eyes and relax.

Reassure them that they will completely aware of everything that will happen and that they will be fully conscious through the entire exercise.

Next breathe in through the nose filling the lungs completely with air. Hold the breath for a few seconds and then slowly exhale through their mouths, relaxing their face head and neck as they exhale.

Have them take another breath just like the last one, only as they exhale have them completely relax their arms and torso, all the way down to their hips.

Have them take a final slow deep breath, in through the mouth, hold it and exhale slowly. This time have them relax their pelvis, legs and feet.

Ask your subject to put their arms straight out from their body.

Tell them on their right arm is a bag of groceries hanging. It’s not very heavy, just enough to notice the weight of the bag.

On the other arm, have them imagine a bunch of helium balloons tied to their arm.

Now paint them a vivid picture of the bag of groceries. Describe the bag to them, what kind of cans are in the bag. What size they are, what color the bag is, etc.

Now paint the picture of the balloons. How many of them are there. What color they all are. What do some of them say on them, etc.

Now go back and focus on the bag. Begin adding cans to the bag. Putting in a can of creamed corn, a jar of pickles, a bag of frozen peas, or whatever comes to mind. Use detail; tell them exactly what you are adding. Have them notice the weight of the bag getting heavier and heavier with each item you ad, getting harder to hold in place.

Now put your attention to the balloons on the left arm. Begin to add more balloons, describing them in detail. Have them notice how light their left arm has become as the balloons try to raise their arm. Tell them it is getting harder and harder to keep their arm in front of them as the balloons pull up on their arm.

Now focus on the arms. Keep going back and forth from the left getting lighter to the right getting heavier.

After a couple minutes of description, reminding them to stay relaxed, you will notice their arms beginning to move. They may move only a couple of inches to a foot.

Make your descriptions very vivid, describe everything in complete detail. Once one or both arms have moved, have your volunteer open their eyes and notice the location of their arms.

They will be amazed, and so should you, since you have just hypnotized someone.
